I recently died my hair from medium/dark brown to blue black, and I used Clairol's Nice n' Easy dye. The dye comes out a lot every time I shampoo my hair, and though I used a permanent dye and followed directions it's faded quite a bit (I've only had it for about 2 weeks). Does shampoo specifically for color treated hair help at all? does anyone have any tips for making dye last longer? and finally, what's a dye that will last longer without fading? Thank you!

Do not use shampoo.
Wash with cold water

(warm or hot will remove the color)
(shampoo will also remove color)
because it does have certain chemicals that remove it.
you can also wash once every 2-3 days
(take body showers, its damaging to wash your hair everyday, anyways)

buy a color stay shampoo
such as toni&guy/redken/kms california

go to sallys and get dye, usually their stuff is higher quality. i use clairol proffesional miss clairol black azure. color treated shampoos do help, and you can get a shampoo that's for black hair.
