Is it bad to leave hairspray on overnight? And how can i get my curls to stay curly longer?

Postby ashu40 » Sun Jun 22, 1975 8:58 am

I used Aussie hairspray today(first time) and i was wondering how long it can stay on my hair before i wash it off and if i can sleep with it in my hair overnight.

I only used a little like i only sprayed it on the curls and underneth the curls.

And how can i get my curls to stay curly longer? I have naturally straight hair and when i curl it goes straight/wavy in an hour! How can i spray my hair so it can last longer and stays soft instead of having that crusty hard feeling?

well if you only curl your hair (and hairspray your hair) once a week when you go out and then sleep with it, I'm sure the damage won't be noticeable and once a week isn't really a biggie.

As for the curls staying longer, I have the same issues I have straight long hair and it's not even layered so it weighs the curls down within an hour. What you should do is spray each individual curl right after you curl it, then hairspray all over once you're done with curling all of your hair.

Leaving hairspray in wont do any serious damage to your hair unless you LOAD it onto your hair i do it all the time. And your hair is like mine in the fact that it doesnt hold a curl. There are products to help it curl and if you spray you hair as you curl it itll help :D

http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/catalog/shop_product_detail.jsp?filterBy=&skuId=190695&productId=190695&navAction=jump&navCount=3

products like that ^^^ will help your hair hold a curl.
