Here's a little trick I found on windowsmoviemakers.net. I tried it and put 7 lines of text on the title. The more words you put in a title the smaller each word is.
"Any time you are adding text, you do that via Titles & Credits. Start by going to Tools > Titles and Credits. It sounds like you want standalone text (not overlayed text), so choose 'Add title before the selected clip'. (You can click on any of the four choices for positioning titles and credits.)
Don't type any text yet, instead go down and click on the link that says, 'Change the title animation'. You'll see that it defaults to a two-line title animation called 'Fade, In and Out'. Instead scroll up in the list. Under the One Line titles, select the one called 'Basic Title'.
Now go back to typing your text by clicking on 'Edit the title text'. You'll now see one single box to type your text. You can type lots of text into this box. Optionally change the text font and color.
When it looks good, click 'Done, add title to movie'.
