Can riding bicycle cause impotence in the long term?

Postby brodee9 » Wed Jul 20, 2011 4:34 am

I commuted twice that distance every day for 25 years and never had a problem. I was very careful that my bike fit properly and that my saddle was well adjusted. While there have been cases documented, don't forget that there are many men who have never been on a bike who experience erectile disfunction. If the makers of Viagra had to rely on cyclists as their market they would quickly go out of business
Dont wait till its to late....

If you get a seat that is right for you and get the bike properly fitted then the pressure will be on your sit bones not on the more sensitive parts. Beware of gel and thickly padded saddles as too much cushion allows the sit bones to sink down until pressure is distributed elsewhere.
