What happens if I do not pay a doctors bill that gave poor service?

Postby wittahere72 » Fri Apr 15, 2011 4:01 am

I am 23 years old and went to a urologist to find out why I was having some problems every now and then getting it up/keeping it up. His staff hassled me for information I figured my doctor had sent to them and were very rude to me. I then later heard them say "well i guess his insurance does not cover impotence" followed with laughter. I was told they didn't know that about me but were laughing about some one else's problem and it really hurt my feelings at the time because I thought it was about me. I finally saw the doctor and all he said was I'm not sure if it is mental or physical here's a perception. I asked him about herbal medicine and all he said was i don't believe in that and know nothing about it. I feel that some one who goes through 4 years of medical school 4 years of residency and possibly 2 more years to specialize they should be educated in them while still being able to not recommend them. My total was $190

doctors are only good for 2 things. cutting something out of you an prescribing drugs. they only repeat what thr drug industry tells them to, so no a doctor would not know anything about herbs, but any way. if you do not pay your bill they put it into collections an you will have a new set of problems

Do not pay. If they press, tell them you are going to file a complaint with the state medical board or whatever they call the agency that licenses doctors and medical practices. The behavior you describe is extremely unprofessional and you cannot allow this office to reap financial gains for it.
